| Synopsis | Explore South Africa's wild and raw coastline, with Griffin Colapinto, Seth Moniz, Ethan Ewing, and the Aether crew as they go off grid in search of uncrowded waves. Griffin's brother Crosby brings fresh energy from California, while pro surfer Grant Twiggy Baker shares his local knowledge and broader view of what it means to be a pro surfer. Having bonded through a year of filming, the crew is ready for their toughest challenge yet. Out here it's just the surfers, the crew and the elements. Producing a hollywood-level production with up to 5-7 cameras going at once is difficult most days in remote locations. Making it happen from freezing tents, with no power, in often punishing conditions brings on a whole new level of complications. But the swell pushes in and the boys have waves to themselves sun up to sun down. With mining trashing the coastline and polluting the region, the crew catches up with Protect the West Coast, a group that calls out the miners in hopes of saving the coast from irreversible harm. |
