||Part of Life offers a glimpse into Indonesias fledgling skateboarding scene and tells the remarkable life stories of some of its best riders. Indra Kubon Leonardo is one of the most influential, a true showman and style icon. He left home at the age of 15 to move to Bali and a world without authority. Mario Palandeng was Indra Kubons younger neighbor, and by watching Indra skate Mario quickly picked it up. Their stories are a world apart from Rino Herman, who was brought up in a small village in Padang, West Sumatra, and had to make plenty of sacrifices to pursue his dream of becoming a pro skater. POL is not really about skateboarding though, it is about what it means to be young and free in such a diverscountry as Indonesia and to be a pro skater and most of all a human being.
Part of Life has won Best Documentary at the International Skateboard Film Festival L.A 2013.
