Synopsis It is close to opening night of Lobster season and Carlito joins his friend Enrique to sail to the island of Catalina off the coast of California to dive at midnight for lobster. Fishing during the day, they catch fish and prepare for the adventure of a nighttime dive. They find themselves in tough competition for the best spots to find the delicious crustaceans, but through fast maneuvering and Carlito's wicked sense of humor, they break free to do their dive unimpeded upon. With success, the crew heads in to spend the night in historic Catalina. The next day, Carlito catches up with an old friend who is the Grand Dame and former weigh master of Catalina, Rose Cadman. The spirited old woman reminisces with Carlito and regales him with stories of the past. Heading back to the kitchen with his bounty of lobster, Carlito prepares a feast of lobster quesadillas and chowder for his friends.
